Would you agree with this statement?
“…No one can make us quite as unsure about ourselves as another woman. And nothing can wound as deeply as unkind words from a friend. While we are all hungry for friendship, it’s the fear of feeling awkward and being rejected, left out, or hurt (again) that often keep us from connecting.” – Lisa-Jo Baker, Never Unfriended
I know I can relate! Hi there! My name is Liz and I recently became acquainted with Judy and Alice through a planning group for an upcoming event based on the book- Never Unfriended by Lisa-Jo Baker. Alice greeted me with a warm smile and hug the first time I met her. Judy sat with me and we spoke about the importance of knowing who we are. Although my interactions with these two beautiful ladies, were brief, I felt peace and encouragement from these sisters in Christ immediately.
I looked into Just Breathe Ministries, Inc. shortly after meeting Alice and loved the vision that God has placed on these ladies’ hearts.
Just Breathe Ministries, Inc. was birthed from interactions between Judy and Alice that revealed in the both of them, a deep desire to help women recapture and reconnect with their God-given dreams. The desire to help women to recognize the ‘pearl’ within them.
Could it be that that we, as woman, need each other…need friends… to help us “find the pearl within.”
Friendship is tough stuff. But you know what is amazing? God created us for each other. Alice and Judy are prime examples.
They believe that God has put us on this earth to connect. Their friendship can be likened to that of Ruth and Naomi or David and Jonathan. God truly does give us friends to help us along this journey we call LIFE.
Starting with that guarantee from the most faithful friend who ever lived—Jesus—Lisa-Jo guides us towards friendships we can trust. She answers the questions that lurk under the surface of every friendship— What are we afraid of? What can’t we change? What can we change? And where do we start?—with personal stories and practical tips to help you make the friends, and be the friend, that lasts.” -Lisa-Jo Baker, Never Unfriended

Liz is a natural introvert who longs for friendship just as much as she longs for a quiet room alone away from people. Are you confused by this? So was Liz until the Lord led her to ministry. Through leading women’s ministry for the first time, for the past two years, she has discovered that on the platform of friendship and authenticity, there lies the opportunity to find the pearl within- the calling and the purpose and the joy and the dream, that has been planted in her heart before time began. Liz blogs at www.christianworkingmama.blogspot.com where she encourages all women but focuses on Christian Moms who work outside the home to find, encouragement, perspective and community. Liz loves to champion women, to encourage them to know who they are.
